Sneaking in one last summer vacation? Leaving town for the week?
At Reliant Home Heating and Cooling, we often get asked: “What’s the best temperature for my home while I’m gone for extended periods?” It’s tough to strike the balance between too high or too low. Ultimately, only you can decide what you’re comfortable with! But if you’re struggling to know where to start, here’s some general guidance:
• If your home will be empty: Consider setting it to 82–85°F to save energy while protecting your home from excess heat and humidity.
• If you have a smart thermostat: Set up a schedule to return to your normal temperature a few hours before you get home.
And here’s a secret – you can make it work for you. If 85° feels too warm to come home to? Try setting it to 78° – it’s all about what works best for not just your system, but also your comfort.
If you’re concerned about your HVAC system running efficiently while you’re away, it’s a good idea to have it serviced regularly. At Reliant Home Heating and Cooling, we can ensure your system is ready for anything – giving you peace of mind wherever you are. That’s why we’ve got the super-exclusive Reliant Comfort Club.
Tuneups 2x a year. Lower costs on repairs. Priority services like “Skip the Call Line.”
All that – and more – just $25 a month.
No sweat.
