Here’s Why Your A/C Isn’t Cooling Your Home

The only thing more frustrating than high energy bills? High energy bills in a house that still can’t get cool! If your A/C isn’t working like it should, there are four things you can do to get it back on track.

4 Troubleshooting Tips to Beat the Heat

  1. Change the Air Filter
A clogged filter is often the culprit for a wonky A/C unit. Clogged filters restrict airflow and make the A/C work harder. Changing the air filter every 1-3 months helps maintain optimal performance.
  2. Inspect the Air Vents
No rocket science here – blocked or closed vents can prevent cold air from circulating properly. Make sure all vents are open and unobstructed to allow air to flow freely.
  3. Clean the Condenser Coils
Dirty coils keep your unit from cooling efficiently. Clean the area around the unit and remove any obstructions to improve airflow.
  4. Check the Refrigerant Levels
Low refrigerant levels often result in poor cooling. You’ll want a professional to refill the refrigerant and check for leaks. Luckily, we know some pros.
