The Need

Mary Rutan Hospital had a “chiller plant” that had grown old and had reliability issues. If the chiller plant were to fail, over half of the hospital would have had to be shut down. MRH facilities group also wanted to move the location of the chiller plant to allow for future pansion/renovation.

The Solution

The customer-need became a design-build project. Dwayne LeVan worked with Ted Patton and Reliant’s engineering partners to design a new chiller plant that could be built in the new location while the old chiller plant limped along. The equipment was sized and ordered. The installation was scheduled and completed.
